This summer will once again organize many pre-season trips for English youth teams. This year Coventry City, Fleetwood Town, Barnsley FC, Burton Albion, Scunthorpe United, Wigan Athletic, Exeter City and Hartlepool United will send their U18 squads to the Netherlands. The teams will visit Holland during the first two weeks of August.

Their itineraries are filled with lots of activities, like training sessions, friendly matches and team building activities. The lads from England will take on high level opposition in friendly matches against teams such as NAC Breda, FC Twente, FC Volendam, Sparta Rotterdam, ADO Den Haag, Feyenoord Rotterdam and AZ Alkmaar. The teams will also receive several training sessions from Dutch coaches of NAC Breda, FC Twente, FC Volendam and Sparta Rotterdam.

Besides the many training sessions and matches, there will be time for sightseeing. All teams will visit our capital city Amsterdam, where a stadium tour at the Johan Cruyff Arena (the stadium of Ajax Amsterdam) will be a definite highlight. The youth players will also receive various lessons about the Dutch language and (football) culture.. In true style of the country they'll be visiting, they will also learn to ride a bike!

We can't wait to welcome the teams in our home country and are confident these pre-season trips will help the players with their development.
